No dia 26 de junho – em menção ao Dia do Imigrante (26 de junho) e do Dia Internacional de Conscientização da Violência Contra a Pessoa Idosa (15 de junho), realizamos o I Seminário “Velhices de Pessoas Imigrantes” em parceria com a Unibes.
Nosso objetivo principal, foi atender a necessidade de aproximação com outras organizações sociais que nasceram com esse mesmo fim que o nosso – atender pessoas imigrantes, afinal, são oportunidades de aprendermos uns com os outros, frente aos desafios que surgem nas diferentes demandas que atendemos.
Conversando com Rachel Katz- da gerência da Unibes Social, nasceu esse seminário, onde falamos sobre três grandes imigrações no Brasil: Italianos, Judeus e Japoneses, numa oportunidade de apresentarmos respostas à pergunta: “como as comunidades estão organizadas para atender as pessoas idosas?”.
Agradecemos a querida Rachel por essa parceria, assim como ao Centro Dia da UNIBES – que fez uma abertura lindíssima com apresentação de Musicoterapia, à UNIBES Cultural que foi a nossa anfitriã, ao Museu da Imigração, Memorial do Holocausto, Convita, Enkyo, Unibes Social e USP 60+ (Yura Rhythm) que integraram a programação e à Sociedade Brasileira de Geriatria e Gerontologia – SP pelo apoio institucional.
Que esse seja o início de muitos outros encontros para refletirmos sobre os serviços para pessoas idosas imigrantes, a fim de fortalecê-lo e integrá-lo à rede socioassistencial do nosso município e estado.
